I want to discover this country, its landscapes, the smells, the cuisine. I want to see the snow in the Alps and can say, for sure, the setting of the Grand Hotel Budapest were based in Switzerland!
I started to go to Luzern and strolled by the lake, with the cold wind to be interrupted by a timid sun. Walked up well but the coat had to be tight up.
I went to see the wooden bridges, the lock, the Renaissance church of St. Leodegar and an exhibition of the Sabian Baumann Art Museum.
After all this I had lunch: € 14.70 for a McMenu. Can you mark out a lot of things!!
In the afternoon, with the sun already disappearing despite spending little noon, took up the career of boat and went to go around the lake: Luzern to Vitznau, through the pontoons of Lido, Hertenstein and Weggis. The boat was some daily passengers, others went for lunch and Chinese and Brazilian tourists.
I love water and be on it, despite the very cold, surrounded by the green and white of the Alps, felt sense of peace. There are places that have this power over me and the lake of Luzern is on that list.
Everything is beautiful and at the same time, picturesque. The water, the houses and palaces, the nature fit perfectly. Burgenstock was obscured by clouds but I imagine that your view should be dream.
